Crush Alert

The BSG are going to the Abigail Adams Valentines Day dance. Charlotte thinks her crush Nick likes someone else, and Meave is going crazy over not having any boy ask her to the dance yet. Each girl is worrying about something. I think book was fantabulous, as Meave would say.

Freestyle With Avery

This book is part of the series Beacon Street Girls. Avery Madden goes on vacation to see her dad in Colorado. Soon Avery realizes that her dad is dating a woman named Andie who has a 13 year old daughter named Kazie. Kazie seems really annoying and full of herself, but soon Avery and Kazie become good friends. Avery is very sporty and is friends with a lot of boys, so it wasn't a surprise when she met Jason who was an animal lover like Jason. I really would recommend this book to others. I couldn't put it down!

My Life in Pink & Green

This book is about a twelve year old girl named Lucy Desberg whose family pharmacy is struggling. It's not like the old days when kids would drop by after school for sodas, snacks and just to hang out. Lucy and her best friend Sunny are just starting to learn what it feels like to have a crush. Lucy is giving makeovers to teens but will it be enough to save the business and will her stubborn grandmother agree to let Lucy help out? See what will happen in the book My Life in Pink& Green. I really like this book because it shows that one person can make a big difference.

Lake Rescue

Lake Rescue is yet another Beacon Street Girls book. It is about the girls who go on a seventh grade trip to a overnight education camp. The BSG learn a lot on the trip and their classmates do to. I recommend reading the other ones also. Lake rescue is an outdoor education camp where you can do activities like rock climbing. The BSG learn not to judge people on their outlook. Most girls weren't looking forward to this but ended up having a lot of fun. I really like this book.

The Leanin Dog

This book is about a girl who is very lonely with her mother dead and her dad always out searching for food. Dessa Dean the girl finds a beautiful dog that saves her life and others too. Ever since her mother died, she was afraid to go outside. Some pages were happy and adventurous and some were so sad I almost cried. But don't let that little piece of info make you turn away. It gets really exciting the next few pages and so on. Will the Leanin Dog help her loneliness and get her outside again? Find out in the book The Leanin Dog.

Swordbird

This book was great. I couldn't put it down. The book is about two tribes of birds. The cardinals and the blue jays save birds all around the world by calling Swordbird, a great mythical creature in an old old book. A hawk was taking over the whole world getting slave birds and soldiers. Can the good birds stop him? Find out in the book Swordbird. I gave it four hearts because the beginning was hard to understand, but as you get closer to the middle it gets really good.     YYYY

HATE THAT CAT

This book has some poems turned into a full story. The beginning of this book is sort of strange but when you get farther in you understand it more. I liked how the author described this particular story in poem. It is about a boy who thinks cats are mean and bad but soon gets a cat and realizes that cats aren't that bad. YYY

Thank you Caitlin Doggart from Where the Sidewalk Ends for giving me a copy of this book!
